Saiko is a native of Japan who moved to Delaware in 1986. She has been making impressions in the beauty industry ever since. After more than two decades she decided to start her own venture, Beauty Bar by Saiko. She was motivated to have the personal freedom to direct a socially conscious and environmentally responsible destination salon and spa. Her passions have moved her to provide top quality services, to carry organic product lines, fully recycle all salon materials, and to provide continuing support for local animal shelters. Saiko specializes in makeovers, dry cuts, and unique color formulations tailored for an individual’s hair.
Saiko is renowned for her brutal honesty and ability to present a client with clear options for improving their hair and overall appearance. Kathleen has always known that she wanted to be a hairstylist. From the age of thirteen to present day, she has worked in various salons throughout the area. With over thirty years of hands-on experience, Kathleen strives to give the best customer service possible. She hopes to make anyone who sits in her chair feel as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.

Darlene has been a Stylist in the Hockessin area since 2006 when she returned to work after spending time at home with her children. Excited to be working with the talented team at Beauty Bar by Saiko, Darlene specializes in curly, and wavy hair using DevaCurl’s Dry cutting techniques. Understanding that clients with curly hair have very specific needs, Darlene helps them to achieve healthy, frizz free curls or waves without harsh chemicals. Curly clients should arrive with their hair clean, detangled and dry in a naturally curly or wavy style. Following a consultation their hair will be cut dry, then cleansed and styled with the recommended DevaCurl products. This service may require additional time based on curl type and quantity of hair, please request additional time for initial visits.
In addition to curly hair, Darlene offers Redken color services, men’s and straight haircutting.

Corrine always knew she wanted to be a stylist. Inspired by watching her mother do hair any chance she could, she knows it’s in her blood. Corrine has been in the industry since 1998, working in some of the top salons in the area. Making her clients look and feel beautiful when they walk out of the door is Corrine’s main focus and passion. Her work has also been featured in the Wedding Issue of Delaware Today.

Carmen began her career in the hair industry back in 2005. From early on she realized hair coloring was her passion. Carmen can provide you with beautiful hair color, whether it be natural highlights or something fun and funky. She is also excited to be pursuing one of her other passions, makeup. Carmen is an outgoing person and always aims to make all clients feel beautiful. She makes sure that everyone has a great experience as soon as they walk in the door.
ASSISTANT STYLIST & NAIL TECHNICIAN
Jade joined our team as an Assistant Stylist and is excited to expand her knowledge and experience—learning many color and hair techniques from Saiko and our other stylists. She loves helping our clients with at-home maintenance ideas for their hair and nails. As one of our nail techs, Jade specializes in Shellac Gel Manicures and takes extra care in making nail services comfortable and relaxing.

Carrie has over a decade of experience as an Aesthetician. She initially earned her BS in business and after working in the corporate world for some time, her passion for skincare became her primary focus. She furthered her education by becoming a licensed Aesthetician and has developed a wonderful reputation for her unique and affective methods of skin care.
Carrie specializes in HydraFacial a non-invasive, multistep treatment that combines the benefits of next-level hydradermabrasion, a chemical peel, automated painless extractions (no pinching!) and a special delivery of Antioxidants, Hyaluronic Acid and Peptides. In addition to HydraFacials, Carrie also specializes in Organic Facials, a natural hands on approach to cleansing and repairing the skin. Carrie’s knowledge and extraordinary touch are enhanced by her ability to customize treatments to her client’s specific needs. She is highly skilled in all areas of skin care, and in addition performs dermacleansing, lash tinting, brow tinting and shaping, eyelash extensions, waxing and organic spray tanning. She believes that combining a regular monthly facial and at home skin care routine, allows healthy gorgeous skin to be revealed!

Jennifer is a Board Certified Massage Therapist. After studying at the University of Delaware she received her degree and massage training from the National Massage Therapy Institute. Her training includes Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage, Prenatal and Reflexology. Her specialty and what she enjoys doing the most, is Therapeutic Massage.
Connie has been in the nail business since 1996 and has worked in many of the top salons in the Hockessin and Wilmington area. She enjoys doing natural and artificial nails and pedicures.
BEAUTY BAR TO GO
Emily has been a part of the beauty industry since 2001. In addition to being proficient in the art of haircutting, hairstyling, and haircoloring, Emily is an expert in evening and bridal styles, including updos. She also has extensive training in hair straightening and de-frizzing, such as keratin treatments and the Yuko Straightening System. Emily can meet the needs of any client who sits in her chair, whether it be man, woman, or child. Whether the look is classic, modern, or edgy, it can be achieved through Emily’s artistic vision.
